Rensselaer County Sample Tour Option -

East Greenbush/North Greenbush Loop:
Start your spring garden early with the plentiful selection of greenery available at Yonder Farms.  If it’s Thursday from 2:30-5:30 PM be sure to stop by the Rensselaer County Farmers’ Market on Williams Road.  A local bounty awaits your taste buds. 
Stop for a healthy lunch at Life’s A Bistro or a slice to go at LaBella Pizza.  Eclectic American Cuisine with a touch of local flavor can be found at Chez Mike.  A more casual fare can be found at Teagan’s Steak & Seafood right on Columbia Turnpike.

Southern Loop:
A taste of the country can be found at Harvest House at Hoffay Farms right off of Route 150.  Enjoy fall favorites at this family farm.  Continue into West Sand Lake to enjoy fine dining at the Arlington House with romantic specials and early bird specials.  Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner can be found in a family friendly Uncle Marty’s Adirondack Grill, a great place to kick back and unwind after a day of sampling.   Or enjoy the crisp fall weather from the deck of the Lakeview Inn on Crystal Lake.
Stop at the Farm at Kristy’s Barn on Brookview Station Road for plentiful fruits and vegetables mostly grown on their own 300 acre farm.  Continue onto Goold Orchards & Brookview Station Winery to enjoy apple picking and home-made donuts and desert.  Wine-tasting is available daily ~ treat yourself to the unique flavor of Brookview Station’s award winning fruit wines. 
Return back to Rensselaer for a tasty treat at Casey’s Restaurant, where the extensive menu is bound to fill whatever you are craving.  Or head toward Troy and taste the tempting cuisine of Paolo Lombardi’s Ristorante, accompanied by their extensive wine list.  This elegant setting is the perfect spot to end your day.
Southeast:
Before you cross into Columbia County be sure to stop at the Berry Patch of Stone Wall Hill Farm offer the freshest, finest locally grown berries, vegetables and fruit all locally produced.  Continue onto Route 22 to Wyomanock Road to Zema’s Nursery for your nursery stock and perennials. 

Troy/Brunswick Loop:
Wednesdays and Saturdays are the time to enjoy one of our many farmers markets.  On Wednesdays start with the Monument Square Market from 10 AM to 2 M and then continue on to the quaint Troy Little Italy Market from 3-6 PM.  On Saturday you can spend the morning (9 AM to 1 PM) taking in the many vendors of the Troy Waterfront Farmers Market while you enjoy entertainment and more. 
Restaurant options abound in Troy for all.  Looking for a great breakfast stop then your stop is at Manory’s Restaurant (or a lunch, or dinner!)  Arnet’s on Broadway offers a down home feel with outstanding breakfasts and lunch specials.    A great sandwich and a cold brew on tap can be found at the charming Holmes & Watson in downtown Troy.   In the mood for a sandwich, soup or quiche?  Stop by Spill’n The Beans and enjoy with a good cup of Joe.
Continue through North Troy and stop for lunch at Verdile’s for great Italian cuisine.   You won’t be disappointed as you continue through to Route 40 for your trip to Liberty Ridge Farm featuring the ExploreNY Corn Maze and barnyard fun along with special events.

Take a short drive from Troy for the Brunswick Farmers’ Market from 9 AM to 1 PM. Continue on Route 7 to Tarbox Farms Earth’s Bounty for family farm specials including herbs, fruits and vegetables.  Continue on Route 7 and stop by Potter’s Tavern for a delectable pub-style lunch or dinner.  In the mood for barbeque?  There’s a variety of barbecue offerings of smoked meat and associated comfort foods, as well as a more upscale bistro menu at the Brunswick BBQ & Brew.
